Max ? 4 month old male German Shepherd Dog  from dog adoption&dog rescue  (2010/8/26 18:13)
Max is a male 4 month old long haired German Shepherd. He is a lovely puppy who promises to become a big and handsome boy! Max is good with children and other dogs. He will need puppy training classes and a minimum of two hours’ daily walks. Because of his size, we would prefer to rehome Max to someone with experience of German Shepherds or large breeds, and in a family with children aged 10 plus. Max must be rehomed within the M25 area as he will have to come back for neutering when 5-6 months old. Could Max become a new member of your family? Steffy ? 2 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier  from dog adoption&dog rescue  (2010/8/26 17:41)
Steffy is a 2 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier. She was abandoned and taken in by her present owners but unfortunately due to long working hours they are not able to keep her and so she is looking for a new loving forever home. Steffy has a wonderful nature and is a typical Staffordshire Bull Terrier in that she is full of fun and loves everybody. She is good with children but because she is abit bouncy can only live with older children. She gets on well with other dogs and enjoys a game, she cannot live with cats. Steffy needs more work done on her recall, she is toilet trained and would make a great addition to any family home, She is great fun and loves to be chased around, and if no one wants to play she has an amusing way of making her own games out of anything handy fallen apples, soft toys, etc, she is happy to be left. Can you give Steffy the forever home where she can lay her hat once and for all and unpack her suitcase. See more @ DogsBlog.com - dogs for ad ...
Mandy ? 5 year old female Greyhound  from dog adoption&dog rescue  (2010/8/26 17:33)
Mandy is a five year old girl who came from the dog pound. Mandy isn’t fond of bouncy excitable dogs but we think she would be fine rehomed with a calmer male dog. At the time of taking the video and photos she was clearly a little nervous, visibly trembling with her tail tucked high between her legs. This isn’t normally the case so we are unsure if it was meeting and being photographed by strangers that made her a little uneasy or the fact that the kennels were very noisy with dogs barking at the time. Ordinarily she is a very happy and confident girl who is very loving and will be a wonderful addition to any family. Star ? 4 year old male Greyhound  from dog adoption&dog rescue  (2010/8/26 17:24)
Star is a four year old ex racer who was handed in because her owner has retired from racing. He’s a happy boy who cannot be rehomed with cats or small furies because of his racing background. Star has a very unusual ‘snowflake’ coat. If you look closely at the photo you’ll see he is a black dog covered in white snowflakes. A really lovely boy who will make a great pet. He very much enjoyed being around a ten year old boy he had just met, enjoying cuddles and leaning against him for more affection. Star could be rehomed with a female dog. Abby ? 12 month old female American Bulldog cross Boxer  from dog adoption&dog rescue  (2010/8/26 17:11)
Abby is an American Bulldog cross Boxer girl who came to us on the 5th August, she was found as a stray and served her 7 days at the pound before coming to us. She is only a baby and about 12 months old. Abby is terrified of the world at the moment. She is scared of every noise and movement and has obviously had an isolated and scary life up to now. She is petrified of people and will do anything she can to get away from you. When Abby first arrived, she spent the first day hiding behind a tree in the corner of the garden, no-one could get near her so she was left to settle and come to us when she was ready. Abby met the dogs not long after and was like a different dog. She came over to them and followed them round the garden, but as soon as she seen people she was back into hiding. Despite being terrified, Abby is a very placid girl and has shown absolutely zero signs of aggression, not even a growl or a hackle raised out of fear. She is obviously going to be a very loving gentle ...
Dylan ? 8 year old male Boxer  from dog adoption&dog rescue  (2010/8/26 17:04)
Dylan is an 8 year old Boxer dog who came into our care after being signed over because the owner could not cope with his typical Boxer ways after apparently finding him stray two months previously. It turned out that he was microchipped and we traced the person on his records but they did not want him back. Dylan is really lovely, and so typical of his breed with high energy levels and interest in toys. No, forget that, he LOVES his toys and will not give them back unless it is exchange for another one of a treat! In fact Dylan will do anything for food and so he has quickly picked up new commands although he had the basics in place already. Despite being 8 he is a lively, boisterous boy who bounces around in a happy-go-lucky manner. He isn’t bothered by other dogs when out on walks, although he is very strong and we currently walk him on a harness and he would definitely benefit from lead training, he could live with another well behaved dog. He ideally needs a home with a ...
Lolly ? 1 year old female Ibiza Hound (Pobedencio)  from dog adoption&dog rescue  (2010/8/26 15:58)
Lolly is a small podenco (Ibizian Hound) approx 1 year old, she was found as a puppy with her Mum and siblings as a stray and brought into our rescue in Spain. Since then she has been living in a foster home until she arrived in the UK. Lolly is in foster with children and other dogs and is absolutely lovely. She is initially timid but comes around really quickly and doesn’t have a bad bone, she has met dogs and children of all sizes and is great. Lolly is a tiny girl, measuring 16 inches to the shoulder, she has a lot of “hound” traits, she adores sitting on the sofa having a cuddle but also does the mad dash around the garden. We are doing a lot of work with the lead training and although initially unsure she then gets into her stride and is extremely noisy, she has a bit of a panic whenever anything new comes towards her, either people, animals, cars etc but if you ignore her and just walk on and she is then fine. Her house-training is 100% now she is c ...
