Edie ? 8 month old female Cane Corso  from dog adoption&dog rescue  (2010/3/10 16:09)
Edie is an 8 month old female Cane Corso who came into our care as part of a cruelty case. Despite her start in life, she is determined to be happy, and since she has entered the system she’s been nothing but sweet and playful. Edie is currently in foster care in Cornwall with a male Corso, a female Corso and a female Lab as well as kids and livestock. Nothing phases this girlie as her foster carer describes: Well she survived her first night with us! She slept very soundly and quietly in her crate, no fussing. Ate her breakfast of puppy food and beef heart, loves it. Has had no toilet accidents, since one yesterday afternoon when she first arrived. She is a delight, so happy to see us all this morning full body wag! Loves playing with a Kong and Maude, keeps a respectful distance from Koo and Xeuno, really loves my youngest Max, follows him about wanting strokes. She has met four new people who came to the house today, all greeted happily seems to be no hang ups with m ...
Rolo ? 9 year old male Terrier Cross  from dog adoption&dog rescue  (2010/3/10 16:02)
Rolo is a 9 year old Terrier cross. He is one of the most placid, laid back chaps you will ever wish to meet. He came into our care after his owner was successfully prosecuted for leaving 18 small furries to die. The owner was banned from keeping animals and Rolo, along with two other dogs were confiscated from their owner. Rolo will make an ideal first time dog – he doesn’t pull on the lead, he is great on walks, he is great with other dogs and loves cuddles. Rolo may seem too good to be true but he isn’t, he really has no issues and is very well behaved. Since coming into our care Rolo has had a scale and polish and two teeth removed and he is fine and dandy now. This sweet natured dog really needs a new home for life. Archie ? 14 week old male Border Collie  from dog adoption&dog rescue  (2010/3/10 14:03)
Archie is a 14 week old Border collie. He is going to need a lot of exercise, stimulation and also puppy classes. Archie has come from a working background. This means he is bred to run for miles everyday. He needs an active home where he is going to be out either walking, running or doing agility classes. We think he would be better with older teenagers. Archie has been left for long periods of time on his own while his owners have been at work. Therefore he has had very little socialisation, he has been out with six other dogs today and he was fine. He loves playing with Raven the 5month old black Labrador. He does need more house training. He is very quick to learn, and we have had only one wee in the house today and that was on a puppy pad! He is living with cats, but he does like to chase them so would need one that would stand up to him. Archie also needs to learn a few manners where his food is concerned as he has a habit of growling. He still thinks he has to compete for ...
Elsie ? 6 year old female Greyhound  from dog adoption&dog rescue  (2010/3/10 11:14)
Elsie is a 6 year old lady Greyhound who is now finished with the racing life and is definitely looking for her retirement home. She is a tall, striking girl with a slender face and smooth coat. Elsie has not been with us long yet, so we are still getting to know her. So far she is proving to be a real sweetheart, good with the other greyhounds and a delight to walk on the lead. She has not been tested with cats or small dogs yet, but these can be carried out prior to adoption if necessary. Pretty Elsie is currently in kennels in Ireland, and can be transported via Kerry Greyhounds to the UK or Europe if a suitable home offer comes up. This will be organised and paid for by Kerry Greyhounds, and we ask only for a donation to help cover costs. She is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure. Joy ? 8 year old female Greyhound  from dog adoption&dog rescue  (2010/3/10 11:10)
Joy is an 8 year old Greyhound lady that has finally been retired from breeding. She has a lovely brindle coat and is in good condition despite her age. Joy definitely lives up to her name, and is a real pleasure to be around. She is a calm, contented lady who would happily stand and be petted all day if she could. She loves being around both people and other greyhounds, and walks beautifully on the lead. She is a no-hassle sort of girl who is content with the simple things in life.. and lots of cuddles, of course! Joy is currently in a foster home in Ireland, and can be transported via Kerry Greyhounds to the UK or Europe if a suitable home offer comes up. This will be organised and paid for by Kerry Greyhounds, and we ask only for a donation to help cover costs. She has not been tested with cats or small dogs yet, but these can be carried out prior to adoption if necessary. Amber ? 10 year old female Greyhound  from dog adoption&dog rescue  (2010/3/10 11:04)
Amber is a light fawn Greyhound lady who is 10 years young. Dear Amber has had a long life in kennels, and REALLY deserves a soft sofa to retire to. Her coat is rather lack lustre at the minute, but with good food and lots of TLC this will improve. She is a bit stiff after her walks so she will need exercise little and often to help gain some mobility back in her joints. This gorgeous old girl has very few needs – just a soft bed, some food and TLC and she’s in seventh heaven. She adores any attention given to her, and soaks it up with a happy greyhound smile. She would do best in a quiet household with perhaps an older dog for company. Really all Amber wants is a soft, warm bed to curl up and nap in after a little amble around the block. Amber is currently in a foster home in Ireland where she is experiencing the joys of home comforts for the first time in her life. She can be transported via Kerry Greyhounds to the UK or Europe if a suitable home offer comes up an ...
Oakie ? 3 year old female Greyhound  from dog adoption&dog rescue  (2010/3/10 10:51)
Oakie is a 3 year old Greyhound girl with a gorgeous, soft, lemony brindle coat. Oakie is a new girl here at the kennels, only coming to us in the first week of March. She is still settling in to this new environment and getting used to the routine. She gets on well with the other greyhounds in the kennels, but we will update her profile more when we get to know her. She has not been tested with cats or small dogs yet, but these can be carried out prior to adoption if necessary. Gorgeous Oakie is currently in kennels in Ireland, and can be transported via Kerry Greyhounds to the UK or Europe if a suitable home offer comes up. Nancy ? 6 year old female Greyhound  from dog adoption&dog rescue  (2010/3/10 10:43)
Nancy is a 6 year old Greyhound lady. She has a lovely light fawn coat and gorgeously deep eyes. Nancy has only just arrived with us so we are still getting to know her. She is quite a chunky girl, somewhat resembling a Labrador when viewed from behind! All this means is there is more of Nancy to love, however, and she is a very sweet, friendly girl. She walks well on the lead and is calm around the other greyhounds in the kennels. She has not been tested with cats or small dogs yet, but these can be carried out prior to adoption if necessary. This lovely lady is currently in kennels in Ireland, and can be transported via Kerry Greyhounds to the UK or Europe if a suitable home offer comes up. This will be organised and paid for by Kerry Greyhounds, and we ask only for a donation to help cover costs. She is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure. See more @ DogsBlog.com - dogs for adoption and rescue Nancy ...
Gordie ? 2-3 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier  from dog adoption&dog rescue  (2010/3/10 10:30)
Gordie is a 2 – 3 year old male old fashioned Staffordshire Bull Terrier. He is good with people and other dogs. He loves nothing more than a big cuddle! He is good with children but is a very bouncy boy so we would recommend children aged 7 plus. He will be neutered prior to rehoming. Can you offer this boy his second chance? See more @ DogsBlog.com - dogs for adoption and rescue Gordie – 2-3 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier
